The late Captain D N Hyde-Barker founded Hyde-Barker Travel on New Year’s Day 1948. His vision of introducing travel and holidays to the people of North Nottinghamshire is still very much alive and with modern technology and a team of professionally trained staff our family business is able to offer its excellent service and expertise countrywide.

Hyde-Barker Travel is an independent family-owned travel company, whose head office is in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. We have two branch offices in New Ollerton and Southwell.

Many of our staff of around 20 have been with the Company for in excess of ten years and between them provide a wealth of knowledge and experience of the travel industry.

We are founder members of The Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA), through whom we are bonded as a financial protection for our clients’ monies. Hyde-Barker Travel is also a founder member of Worldchoice, a countrywide consortium of independent travel companies whose aim is to raise standards for their clients.

As members of the Association of Independent Tour Operators (AITO) we have access to a wide range of specialist holidays and travel products, not generally available on the High Street. Hyde-Barker Travel specialises in made-to-measure, tailor-made and we have an extensive knowledge of short break holidays both at home and abroad.
