Always excited by travel and likes nothing better than discovering new places. Peru, Australia, New Zealand, China, Morocco are just a few of the places she has visited. Previously, a founder director of the successful family cycling holiday company ‘Freewheel Holidays’ she is our ‘expert on family travel’. Enjoys gardening, badminton, reading and of course, travel.

Has been working as a travel retailer for over 30 years. Remains as enthusiastic about the travel industry as ever and committed to the same high level of customer service which has been the hallmark of Hyde Barker Travel. Most interested in researching family history and is a keen supporter of the National Trust.

John has explored the world over and led tours in Europe, Australasia and North America. New Zealand is almost a second home. Talk to him about trips Down Under, Japan, China, Nepal and America’s National Parks. Enjoys walking, cycling and trying to keep up with his young daughter.

We are very pleased to welcome Gemaine to the Hyde Barker team – Gemaine joins us from her previous position as Manager of Reader Holidays at the Newark Advertiser. Gemaine has travelled widely through Canada and Australia and has extensive knowledge of UK and European travel operators. She enjoys a wide range of sporting activities, especially cycling and swimming and attending motor racing events.
